With more than 30 years of experience in the accounting industry, Tom Crutchfield specializes in accounting and tax advisory services for small to mid-size businesses, professional services entrepreneurs, information technology companies, and government contracting industries. While he is known for his accounting expertise, the fact that he is a pilot is not as well known. His philosophy can be summed up by his favorite quote, “Get busy living or get busy dying.” He chooses the former by not only serving as a BSB partner, but also enjoying golf, horse racing, watching his favorite movie, Top Gun, listening to Jimmy Buffett, or visiting his favorite vacation spot, Aruba.  

Tom is a graduate of Radford University with a B.S. in Business Administration. Prior to joining BSB, he was a partner at another local firm. He shares his wealth of experience by serving in the community as a past member of the Board of Directors for Loudon County Chamber of Commerce, Past Chair and Vice Chair on the Board of Directors for the VSPCA Education Foundation, and a member of VSPCA Peer Review Committee. He can also often be spotted cheering for his favorite teams — the Michigan Wolverines and the Washington Nationals.
